Mission
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the South Haiti people, through Free Education, Healthcare, Clean Water, Community Support and Reforestation.
Short Term Goals
It’s imperative to keep the school we have built in 2012 functional. In order to do so we need to pay teachers’ salaries, provide students with uniforms, school supplies and pay for the boat that transports teachers from Grosse Caye to Aquin. We are committed to supporting the students who already graduated from the school, helping them with their goals of further goals and maintaining the high standard of education.
Grosse Caye also has an urgent need for clean and safe drinking water. We want to build a water system that can desalinize the sea water and make it safe for community of Grosse Caye.
We also aim to support the local clinic in Grosse Caye and continue the free clinic twice a year in the underserved and remote villages of Aquin.
We encourage our students to participate and help solve the deforestation problem that the region is suffering from.
Long Term Goals
We aim to expand the scope of activities at our school and add the secondary education to our programs.
We also plan to build a technical school and provide our students with the necessary skills training programs.
Our third goal is to build a medical center in Grosse Caye where local people can have access to a comprehensive healthcare system.
Where We Work
We support the whole area of Aquin, especially remote villages and the island of Grosse Caye.
Get to know us
We are a group of Haitian professionals from Aquin and the parts of Haiti living abroad, committed to giving back to our community. We started this organization in 2003. Each year about 20 of us, all medical professionals,—doctors, nurses and pharmacists organize free clinics in the remote villages of Aquin where healthcare is completely neglected. We provide medical supplies, medications and references for those in need of further treatment to the community hospital of Aquin. We also provide scholarships to the students whose parents cannot pay for their schooling. In 2008 we successfully raised funds in Florida, New York and Canada and built the school in Grosse Caye, that now serves children ages 4—15. The school also serves ASA vocational center, shelter in the times of hurricane and when needed,—as a clinic too. Our first graduating class got their diplomas in June 2019.
